How to Find and Read Your Sage Espresso Machine Model Code

Sage spare parts are listed against model codes, not marketing names. Before you order anything, find the code on your own machine and compare it with the code on the part’s official page.

Where the code is

Look for the rating label: the sticker or plate that shows the voltage and the power in watts. On espresso machines it is usually on the underside or the back of the machine; on grinders, usually underneath. If you cannot find it, the instruction book that came with the machine usually names the model, and your purchase receipt or warranty registration may show it too.

Unplug the machine and empty the water tank and drip tray before tipping it to read the base.

What the code looks like

Sage codes on espresso products start with three letters and three digits:

Prefix What Sage uses it for on the pages we checked Examples
BES Espresso machines BES450, BES870, BES920
BCG Coffee grinders BCG600, BCG820
BEP Bundles of a machine and a grinder BEP500, BEP920
SP Spare parts SP0001521, SP0025526
SEA / SES Accessories SEA204, SES058

The rating label may add letters after the digits. Sage’s own part pages refer to “BES875UK” and “BES920UK”, so a UK suffix is normal. Sage’s “Works With” lists use the short form (BES875, BES920), so compare the letters and digits before the suffix.

Codes that are easy to confuse

BES870 and BES875. Sage’s UK site lists the Barista Express under BES870 and the Barista Express “with Milk Jug Thermal” under BES875. Most 54 mm parts list both codes, but not all of them: the 54 mm cleaning disc SP0013695 lists BES870 and not BES875. Check which code is on your label.

BES876 (Barista Express Impress). A different machine, with the Impress puck system. It shares a few parts with the BES870/BES875, such as the 54 mm outer shower screen SP0001475, but has its own drip tray, water tank and hopper part numbers. See the Barista Express Impress page.

BES880 and BES882. The Barista Touch and the Barista Touch Impress share some 54 mm parts, such as the 54 mm shower head filter SP0025527, but not their tanks, drip trays or hoppers.

BES450 and BES500. The Bambino and the Bambino Plus are both 54 mm machines according to Sage, but each has its own portafilter part number: SP0100220 for the Bambino, SP0024799 for the Bambino Plus.

BES985 and BES995. The Oracle Jet and the Oracle Dual Boiler both take Sage’s 58 mm portafilter SP0001817, but they use different burr assemblies.

Bundles

If your box says BEP500 or BEP920, you bought a bundle. Sage describes the BEP920 “Dynamic Duo” as including the Dual Boiler and the Smart Grinder Pro. The machine inside the bundle carries its own code on its rating label (for example BES920), and that is the code to use when looking up machine parts.

Sage and Breville

Every page of Sage’s UK website carries the notice “© 2026 Breville Pty Limited”, and similar machines are sold under the Breville name in other countries. Model codes and part numbers outside the UK and Europe can differ, so this site lists only the Sage part numbers that Sage’s UK website links to each Sage model code. If your machine says Breville, check the Breville site for your country.

Next step: check that a part fits before you buy it.
